Planet Hollywood Times Square Review
There is no shortage of restaurants to eat at in the Times Square area. There are restaurants with great themeing and restaurants with great food, and rarely restaurants with both. This falls into the great themeing category. This restaurant, part of the larger Planet Hollywood chain, hosts an impressive array of movie props from everything from Gremlins to Forest Gump to Waterworld. Be aware if you choose to eat here, you are paying to see these props and costumes, and it can be a lot of fun to walk around and see them. The restaurant was relatively empty on my visit (which was for lunch on a nonholiday weekday) so I could get a great look at all the movie memorabilia adorning the restaurant. The food is typical American comfort food, and is relatively reasonable in price by the standards of the touristy areas of New York.
